About Jennifer Kellar
My love of health and fitness began in 2007 when I became a
Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM).

I owned and operated a home-based private training studio from 2007-2019. I was a firefighter for seven years with Front of Yonge Fire Department and understand the importance of strength and conditioning. I also have a deep passion for yoga and have completed several half marathons and triathlons.
I was a medical trainer for a Junior A hockey team when I decided to add manual therapy to my skills and returned to school to become an RMT in 2013. I started my massage career at Skyward Active Health in Mallorytown and I now currently massage at Anna Belanger & Associates in the Beechwood clinic.
I enjoy working with injuries and chronic pain rehabilitation. I have experience with a variety of clients and have taken additional training in Corrective Exercise, Senior Fitness, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Reconciling Biomechanics with Pain Science.
I felt compelled to restart my personal training business because even though I was helping people with massage I realized that for my clients to continue to improve they needed to include physical activity. In past experiences I have witnessed some incredible things that even a minimum amount of exercise can accomplish. The benefits of exercise are extensive. It can help our bodies physiologically as well as improve our mood, self-confidence, stress level, cognitive ability and overall sense of wellbeing.
I love applying the two complimentary modalities of massage and training to help people move and feel better so that they can lead the most active, healthy and pain free lifestyles possible.
As both a Personal Trainer and Registered Massage Therapist I have worked with a variety of conditions –
-
Parkinson’s
-
Fibromyalgia
-
Traumatic Brain Injury
-
Cauda Equina
-
Sports & workplace injuries
-
Tendonitis
-
Hip and knee replacement
-

& more.

The tree in my logo was chosen for several reasons;
it reflects the old with the new.
My first training studio was nestled among the pines. Reopening my business, I feel I have come full circle. I am looking forward to offering personal training with a therapeutic approach. A tree must be well rooted to grow. In training you need to ensure that you have the basics to put down those roots. A tree is also mobile, flexible, resilient and strong. It can withstand the stress of storms because of those characteristics. It’s important that we also can do that so we can participate fully in what we desire and withstand the stress of everyday life.
Movement matters, not just body movement but also energy movement, moving to a new season in your life, and moving forward.
Finally, the tree is a tribute to my father and son, each had their own business called Pine Things and it brings me joy to carry on that tradition.
